I gotta say that I just love these blogs! It is so fun getting on-line and seeing messages from wonderful friends and family! My new sister and new mom both left me messages...along with friends/family I havn't talked to in awhile and friends/family I talked to yesterday... can it get much better!! :) I DON'T THINK SO!

Alrighty, I have had a request from wonderful Ang to post pictures of the nursery bedding. We are having a little girl but wanted bedding that is gender neutral so we can use it again. I am on a huge green kick now hence: green bedding! The first picture shows the entire setup. The bedskirt is white matalesse (sp?)(diamond textured white fabric) with a green scallop edge. The next level up is the sheet that can be changed to be a little more girly (if needed & see pink palm tree picture late in the blog!). The next levels look like two but are really just one. My unbelievably talented mom made the bumper of a beautiful textured white fabric (similar to the bedskirt) and green/white toile. It is tied on with fun green and white polka dot ribbons that will be used on the window treatments as well.

This next picture is a sheet that we can use. It is so precious and fun! Pink palm trees on green flowers for our December baby! :)

I also have to take the time to thank my wonderful sister Tara Lohse for the gift of the pink palm tree stroller blanket (Tara and Morgan {Derek's twin brother and wife} gave me a pottery barn gift card for Christmas and I have been saving it for the perfect thing!). Isn't it so cute, Tara! And, it is incredibly soft on the reverse side.

My wonderful husband came to the rescue and gave me his camera! YAY for technology and the ability to send you pictures! Here is the shot of my growing baby. She is now 22 weeks old and is continuing to make her mommy very hungry! Hope you are all having a great day! Thanks for your continuing prayers, love, and support. This is one lucky baby to be born into such a great network! :)

Well, I have some very sad news! I sincerely wanted to post a profile shot of my growing belly so I dug out my camera and found that it wasn't working. This wasn't that big of a deal because at the end of school it was on the fritz and I thought I could take it to the camera store and have a few screws tightened and it would be all fixed... Well I took it to the camera store and it turns out they want $200 to fix it!! It hardly cost that new and it for sure is not worth it now!! So, I have to get a new camera... Any suggestions? I like small, digital cameras... Let me know if you have any ideas! I guess I can use this as an investment in the baby! After all we know she will be doing some amazing, precious things in the near future and I wouldn't want to miss them! Hope you are having a great day and pictures to come soon... I promise!

So before posting pictures of my baby to be (or my growing stomach!!), I had to post pictures of our first baby. His name is Gus and it is so hard to believe that he is going to be three very soon! He is very excited to be a big brother (especially since he gets to be a big brother to a little sister!). He is struggling to learn to share toys (he thinks every stuffed animal is his) and he is going to try to learn how to tell us something without a HUGE bark! HA! We are excited for him to have a new family member and are very ready for the adjustment that is going to take place!

So... despite my awful job at keeping in touch with friends and family around the world, I am starting a blog to (hopefully) help the staying in touch process! I must say I have VERY high hopes and am very excited about this! I am going to go ahead and post this to see how and a new post will come soon... PROMISE!
